College Inn Porterhouse '50

Okay, I said we'd keep it going with a few more leftover Halloween posts here in November, but first let's share some imagery that better represents this thankful month of food Food FOOD-- in the form of the gorgeous western / cattle wrasslin' mural motifs by Robert Sinnott that highlight this stunning (and HUGE) College Inn Porterhouse menu from 1950. Located in the Hotel Sherman, Chicago IL, this restaurant is fondly remembered by many back in its day for excellent eats, as well as also being one of the venues that broadcast ABC's incredibly popular radio show, "The Breakfast Club with Don McNeill." But for now we're talkin' dinner, so tuck in your napkin, order-up some extra hot rolls, and ring that dinner bell for a juicy Deviled Chopped Sirloin Steak (served with a grilled banana and hot sauce), or maybe try the disjointed Mammy Fried Chicken!
