Facts & The Safe Driver

We finally take leave of Jellystone and continue on with our roadtrip summer vacation! And since we sort of hit the open highway before reviewing a few essential auto related precautions, maybe we should slow it down a bit and eyeball some wonderful artwork from a couple of "safe driver" booklets. First up, "Facts for Colorado Drivers" (1959) --does anyone know anything about this superbly stylized artist who signs his name "Plumb?" Then the second half of today's post features the signed and unmistakeable genius of Walt Ditzen, his magnificent mini-masterpieces are the highlight of 1945's "The Safe Driver" booklet.
