Whoop-de-do Barbecues vs. Old South Ranch

We've been sightseeing around the US all month and barely even thought about our poor grumblin' bellies! And if you know me, BBQ sounds good anytime-- shall we fire it up ourselves with some help from a July 1959 Family Circle booklet called "Whoop-de-do Barbeques" (neat art by M. Trinque), or should we just hit up the "best real pit Bar-B-Q in the south", aka Old South Bar-B-Q Ranch in Clewiston, Florida? Actually, our choice has already been made for us (click HERE) as the Old South Ranch closed shop sometime in the 90's. As much as I love old west kitsch with my sizzlin' meat, nothing beats grillin' it yourself!
